Etymology: German and Nonsense, from wandern to wander + Lust desire, pleasure, seeking, searching. Strong longing for or impulse toward wandering, exploring,experiencing and feeling (tends to be with one's camera at an arms length) 1 : moving about without a fixed course, aim, or goal 2 : following a winding course : MEANDER 3 : not belonging to one fixed place 4 : photography leaking from the heart/ unmappable locations/ a state of seeking things bigger, broader and more vast than one's self.
A world wide collective of the unrooted, uprooted, nomadic and wanderlusts... the photographers feeling their home remains not where they lie their head but where they create their work, projects, etc.
Open to emerging, established, mid-career photographers of every genre.
The works of several photographers will be published on wanderlustagraphy every Wednesday. This site is co-curated by Clayton Cotterell and Amy Elkins.
